Undercover Beauty Editor: Spa Day Review
Shhh! This is top secret. Bliss on Street Lane was paid a visit from an undercover Beauty Editor. When we found out afterwards, we didn't panic as we've already received ***** five stars from GLAMOUR magazine for our Dermalogica facials and pedicures and then there's that time when Harpers Bazaar magazine rated Bliss at Butcher Hill in its Six of the Best Spray Tanning Salons in the UK! Overt omissions of modesty aside; read the undercover Beauty Editor's verdict on our spa treatments...
Salon: Bliss on Street Lane
Therapist: Anna
Treatments Reviewed: Elemis Taster Facial & Full Body Relaxing Massage
Star Rating: 5 *****
The Verdict on Bliss' Elemis Taster Facial: This 30-minute facial takes your skin on the ultimate experience in hydration, relaxation and anti-ageing nourishment. With the brand Elemis, comes a whole host of vibrant and sensual fragrances from the clean scents of the Lavender toner to the utterly gorgeous exotic fruits mask. The treatment begins with a one-to-one consultation with highly professional and personable beauty therapist. Anna detected exactly which products from the range would suit me best and performed a deep cleansing ritual followed by toning, massage, exfoliation and while the mask settled in, an offer of an Indian Head/Hand/Foot massage topped off this stress-busting experience. This facial has a float-away feel to it which is impressive considering it's a 'taster' session. After one treatment, I could see a massive difference in my skin's texture and elasticity. Would I recommend this? Absolutely. It'll make a great gift to yourself or a dear friend in need of some TLC.
The Verdict on Bliss' Full Body Massage: It's clear to see and experience that all of the staff at the Bliss salons are highly trained and enjoy regular update training because there's a buoyancy in the salon environment and a perfection to the delivery of treatments. 60 mins in the massage treatment room was more than enough to tackle the deepest knots on my shoulders (my fault, I carry a Mulberry handbag full to the brim with stuff) and relieved me of back pain. Much like a magic wand, I walked out of the salon feeling like I had returned to my body and I was buzzing with energy, ready for the day. If and when I mentioned an area that needed more intense pressure or attention, Anna my beauty therapist had a vast skillset and could use a range of different techniques, from Swedish relaxation to light sports massage. Bliss' has the capacity to either chill out very tense muscles, offer hot stones, aromatherapy, specialist pregnancy massage, reflexology and multiple other massaging skills making this a top salon.
